Aerobatics
About This Machine
Aerobatics, manufactured by Zaccaria of Bologna, Italy in February 1977, is a single-player electro-mechanical (EM) pinball machine from the Italian manufacturer's 1970s catalog, with artwork by Lorenzo Rimondini.
Aerobatics offers a solid array of classic EM features, including two flippers, two pop bumpers, two slingshots, three drop targets, and three standup targets. The addition of two spinning targets and two kick-out holes adds a layer of variety to the game. A notable aspect is its bounce-back outlanes, which allow players to nudge a drained ball back into play — an unusual and player-friendly design touch.
Interestingly, Aerobatics' score display tops out at 9,999,900 points, and the last two digits are fixed zeroes. The machine also features an end-of-ball bonus system, 3- or 5-ball play, and a backbox operator option for either Add-a-Ball or Replay operation, making it a desirable title for collectors and enthusiasts of European EM pinball machines.
