About This Machine

Shoot-A-Line is a Bingo-style electro-mechanical pinball machine designed by Don Hooker and produced by Bally Manufacturing Corporation, with a Sports/Bowling theme. This Model 713 was the second production run of the game -- the first run was Model 682, released in 1962 -- and together these were the only 28-hole bingo games Bally produced.

As a bingo machine, Shoot-A-Line's gameplay centers on 28 trap holes and 6 scoring cards rather than conventional flipper-and-target shot-making; the ball's landing position among the trap holes determines scoring combinations on the cards, in the style typical of bingo pinballs of the era.

One notable design detail is that the backglass does not carry the 'Bally' logo, unusual for a Bally-manufactured machine. Its exact year of production is not documented in available records, and Shoot-A-Line remains a niche but historically interesting entry in Bally's bingo-machine lineage.
