Seven Seas
About This Machine
The Seven Seas pinball machine, designed by Wayne Neyens with artwork by Roy Parker and manufactured by Gottlieb in 1960, is a solid addition to the world of electro-mechanical pinball. Its deep sea fishing, sailing, and relaxation theme reflects the era's shift towards more immersive gameplay experiences, incorporating flippers, pop bumpers, and slingshots alongside two bullseye targets and rollover buttons.
Seven Seas offers engaging gameplay built around its two gobble holes, each with its own bonus ladder for an end-of-ball bonus. These "bonus holes" light alternately throughout play for a double bonus, and balls falling into them don't turn off the pop bumpers for the next player, keeping the action moving. This clever mechanism is a highlight of the machine's design.
The Seven Seas' artwork and design pay homage to the relaxing, carefree atmosphere of sailing on the high seas. The game's cabinet features metal cigarette holders on the side rails, adding an interesting touch to its aesthetic. With a maximum point score of 1,999 points per player and support for 3 or 5 ball play, players can compete for bragging rights or enjoy the challenge of maximizing their scores.
