Score-Board
About This Machine
The Score-Board, produced by Gottlieb in March 1956 and designed by Wayne Neyens with artwork by Roy Parker, is a four-player electro-mechanical pinball machine from the mid-1950s -- a mature period for the company rather than an early one, as Gottlieb had already been producing pinball machines for a quarter-century by this point.
The game offers two flippers, five pop bumpers, one passive bumper, two gobble holes, and two standup targets across three balls per play, with a tilt penalty ending the game for that player. Its replay wheel accommodates up to 26 replays, and the maximum displayed score is 999 points per player. Around 1,300 units were produced.
The backglass carries Gottlieb's memorable slogan, 'Amusement Pinballs, as American as Baseball and Hot Dogs!' -- a fitting tagline for a solidly built, if thematically understated, mid-1950s EM machine from one of the era's most prolific manufacturers.
