About This Machine

Rescue 911, designed by Bill Parker and produced by Premier Technology (under the Gottlieb trade name) in 1994, is a Solid State Electronic pinball machine built around emergency-services rescue action. Its centerpiece is a toy helicopter that magnetically lifts the ball and flies it to the upper playfield, where players then "launch" it back down via the flipper buttons to hit additional targets.

The game features three flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, nine standup targets, three captive balls, two kick-targets, a two-bank drop target, a vertical up-kicker, and a kickerlane, with the plunger delivering the ball to the right inlane. The playfield is divided into distinct scoring areas built around the helicopter mechanism.

Rescue 911's theme, centered on ambulances, fire trucks, and police, is rendered with colorful artwork and graphics that place players inside emergency-response scenarios. Backglass and cabinet art were created by Constantino Mitchell, David Moore, and Jeanine Mitchell, with dot-matrix animation by Daryl Moore, Alycen Hareas, and Rand Paulin. With roughly 4,000 units produced, it remains a distinctive entry in Gottlieb's System 3 era.
