Mini Cycle
About This Machine
The Mini Cycle is a 2-player electro-mechanical pinball machine from D. Gottlieb & Company, manufactured in January 1970, with 885 confirmed units produced. Designed by Ed Krynski with art by Art Stenholm, it showcases Gottlieb's design approach during this period. A 4-player version of the same playfield was released the same year as 'Polo,' and the layout was reused again in 1972 for the export title 'Space Orbit.'
In terms of gameplay, the Mini Cycle features two flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, seven standup targets, and a vari-target offering multiple paths to scoring. Players can also activate the free ball return lane, allowing them to continue playing even after a ball has been lost. With a maximum displayed score of 9,999 points per player, the Mini Cycle demands skill and focus from its operators.
The machine's sound system consists of just three chimes, creating a distinctive and memorable audio signature typical of vintage EM pinball machines.
