About This Machine

Meet Jumpin', a fairly scarce electro-mechanical pinball machine from April 1963, designed by Steve Kordek for Williams, with only 1,500 units produced. It carries a Happiness - Circus/Carnival theme typical of the period.

The gameplay experience on Jumpin' features a mix of classic electro-mechanical pinball components, including two flippers, three pop bumpers, two passive bumpers, two slingshots, five rollover buttons, and two gobble holes, each protected by its own drop target. The double match feature is operator-adjustable for 2, 5, or 10 replays, and the replay wheel maxes out at 47, giving players plenty to chase. With a maximum displayable score of just 1,999 points per player, competition for the top of the scale can be fierce.

The circus/carnival theme on Jumpin' adds a nostalgic charm, with colorful artwork and sound effects — two bells and a knocker — that transport players to a bygone era of amusement parks and carnivals. As a lower-production Steve Kordek design for Williams, Jumpin' offers a glimpse into early-1960s electro-mechanical pinball.
