About This Machine

The Chicago Coin Machine Manufacturing Company's Juke Box (September 1976) is a notable late-era electro-mechanical pinball machine, arriving just a year before the company's operations ended in 1977. Designed by Albin Peters, Jerry Koci, and Wendell McAdams, with artwork by Christian Marche, Juke Box embodies the musical theme characteristic of many pinball games from this era.

One of the standout features of Juke Box is its end-of-ball bonus, which encouraged players to aim for high scores each game. The machine also boasts two flippers, two pop bumpers, two slingshots, eight standup targets, and a kick-out hole, providing an engaging gameplay experience. A distinctive touch is the spinning playfield disc mounted beneath the playfield surface — it doesn't affect ball travel, but hitting a Spin target sets it rotating to score points.

The Juke Box's design features bright, colorful artwork with dancing figures and musical instruments, creating an immersive atmosphere for players. A 2-player version of the same game, 'Sound Stage,' was released with different artwork. As one of the later electro-mechanical machines from Chicago Coin, Juke Box holds notable historical value for enthusiasts of the EM era.
