About This Machine

Harvest, designed by Ted Zale and manufactured by Bally in October 1964, is a classic single-player electro-mechanical game with an agricultural farming theme. With 1,075 units confirmed produced, it is a characteristic example of Bally's mid-1960s output and of Ted Zale's design work.

Gameplay centers on two flippers, three pop bumpers, four slingshots, and a signature Zale touch: five mushroom bumpers scattered across the playfield. A right outlane ball return gate gives players a chance to save a draining ball. The maximum displayed point score is 1,999 points, and the replay wheel tops out at 25 credits.

For players in markets where replays were restricted, Bally released an add-a-ball version of this same design in 1964 under the name 'Hay-Ride'. Harvest remains a charming snapshot of mid-1960s electro-mechanical pinball and its down-on-the-farm Americana theming.
