Gameplay

Xtreme Rally / Off Beat Racer! puts you behind the wheel in a fast-paced chase view racing game developed by SNK and released in 1998. As a single player, your goal is to reach the finish line before your opponents, competing against other drivers on each track. Following each race, your performance is evaluated based on completion time, with rankings also given for those who fail to finish. The game utilizes an SNK Hyper NeoGeo 64 cartridge and offers straightforward controls—an 8-way joystick and four buttons—to navigate the courses. Originally released in Japan under the name "Off Beat Racer!", it was later distributed internationally as "Xtreme Rally." Skilled players can unlock secret vehicles by inputting a specific sequence on the car selection screen, transforming ordinary racers into construction equipment.
