X-Men Vs. Street Fighter (Europe 961004)
Capcom • 1996

Capcom’s X-Men vs. Street Fighter pits characters from Marvel's X-Men and Capcom's Street Fighter franchises against one another in a two-player fighting game. Released in Europe in 1996, the title runs on the CPS-II hardware platform and represents a version developed originally in Japan. Players choose from a roster of heroes and fighters, executing special moves and combos to defeat their opponent. The gameplay emphasizes fast-paced action and team-based combat; each player can select three characters to form a fighting team, with the order determining the sequence in which they enter the battle. This version reflects Revision 2, built on October 4th, 1996, and distributed across both North America and Europe. A later revision followed for US release only. X-Men vs. Street Fighter was subsequently ported to Sony PlayStation consoles in both North American and European territories.
