Pilot a ship called the Flintlock in Xexex, a fast-paced, horizontally scrolling shooter from Konami released in 1991. Players take on the role of a pilot tasked with rescuing Princess Irene and defending her planet from the villainous Klaus. The Flintlock features a unique detachable orb attachment, "Flint," that can be upgraded to enhance firepower and movement, adding a strategic element to combat. As you progress through levels, various powerful laser weapons become available—including homing and shadow lasers—each offering distinct tactical advantages against waves of enemies. Missiles serve as a secondary attack option, complementing the main weapon’s capabilities. The current equipped weapon is displayed on-screen for easy reference during intense gameplay. Notably, the Japanese version of Xexex differs from overseas releases with its inclusion of respawn points and a wider range of weapons compared to the limited arsenal found in other versions. Team up with a friend for cooperative action as you face challenging enemy patterns and strive to save E-Square.
