Gameplay

Experience high-speed racing from a first-person perspective in Winning Run '91, a driving game released by Namco in Japan during March of 1991. Part of the Winning Run series that began in 1988, this title puts a single player behind the wheel and challenges them to navigate courses at thrilling speeds. Using four buttons for control, players accelerate, brake, and maneuver their vehicle through each track, striving for fast lap times. Running on Namco’s System 21 hardware, Winning Run ‘91 features detailed graphics and sound driven by multiple processors and chips including a C140 and YM2151. It builds upon previous entries in the series while delivering what arcade racing fans expect: intense competition against the clock and increasingly challenging circuits. The game continues Namco’s tradition of realistic driving simulation within an arcade environment.
