Gameplay

Wiggie Waggie is a two-player ball and paddle game released by Promat in 1994. Gameplay closely resembles Seta’s Thunder & Lightning, tasking players with using paddles to deflect a ball and break apart formations of blocks. The visual presentation features depictions of nude women, marking the game as mature content. The technical foundation of Wiggie Waggie utilizes a modified version of the Thunder & Lightning code running on a custom board that incorporates an altered sound chip for its audio. This unique soundscape draws from musical tracks featured in the anime series Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind and Bubblegum Crisis. Two players can compete simultaneously, attempting to outscore each other by clearing blocks more efficiently or forcing the ball past their opponent’s paddle.
