Water Ski

Race against the clock in Taito’s Water Ski, a fast-paced sports game released in 1983 for two players. As a water skier being towed by a powerboat, your goal is to navigate challenging courses and reach the finish line as quickly as possible. The gameplay involves skillfully maneuvering left and right while dodging various obstacles like rocks, sharks, motorboats, and windsurfers that appear along the course. Careful attention must be paid not only to avoiding hazards but also to the direction of your tow boat; a wrong turn can lead to disaster. Jump ramps are scattered throughout each stage, offering bonus points for successful aerial maneuvers. Successfully hitting the ramp at the correct angle and pressing the jump button will propel you into the air for extra points, while misjudging the landing results in lost time. Water Ski utilizes Taito’s classic cabinet design and offers a simple but engaging experience that tests your reflexes and timing as you compete against another player to achieve the fastest completion time.
