Navigate twisting, futuristic corridors in Viewpoint, a fast-paced, two-player shooter released in 1992 by Sammy and Aicom. Players pilot spaceships through challenging environments, battling waves of enemies and confronting imposing mechanical bosses. The core weapon is a pulse laser that can be charged for greater impact, complemented by three distinct bomb types: a rearward firing wave of fire, a powerful nova blast, and homing mini-missiles to target multiple foes at once. This isometric shooter runs on the SNK Neo-Geo MVS hardware, offering a unique visual perspective as you progress through six stages. Control is straightforward with an 8-way joystick for movement and two buttons—one to fire or charge your laser, and another to deploy bombs. The game’s soundtrack was recognized for its quality, earning awards in 1992. Viewpoint represents Sammy's sole title developed specifically for the Neo-Geo MVS platform. The opening sound cue is a sample from the Kurtis Blow song "AJ Scratch," adding an unexpected touch to the gameplay experience.
