Gameplay

In Victory, released by Exidy in 1982, players pilot a Battlestar tasked with liberating a planet from an alien invasion force. The enemy has established radar installations and quark silos across the surface while deploying paratroopers to unleash dangerous quarks. Using a spinner control, you maneuver your ship to destroy these targets and thwart the invaders' advance. The game features a unique combination of shooter and field elements as you navigate the planetary landscape, targeting both ground-based structures and airborne threats. Your Battlestar is equipped with lasers for offense, shields for defense, and a powerful "Doomsday Device" capable of devastating enemy positions. The technical design of Victory incorporated multiple processors and dedicated sound chips to deliver an immersive audio-visual experience. A later upgrade kit transformed some installations of Victory into a version called “Victor Banana,” altering the game's graphics for a more humorous presentation. Ports of this title were released for the Colecovision console and Commodore Amiga computer.
