Gameplay

Two Tigers is a cooperative aerial shooter for two players, released by Bally Midway in 1984. Players control fighter planes tasked with sinking enemy ships by inflicting a specific number of hits upon them – a requirement that increases when playing cooperatively. As the ships approach from the left side of the screen, players must utilize their limited bomb supply and strategically exploit enemy aircraft to create holes in the hull. The gameplay involves navigating a field of enemy planes and anti-aircraft fire while aiming for precision strikes; utilizing dive-bombing tactics can improve accuracy and speed. Players can also benefit from destroying mines and fuel drums that appear, as these provide shortcuts towards sinking a ship. Scoring is awarded for various actions including shooting down enemy planes, damaging the ships, and destroying special objects like submarines. Later stages introduce increasingly challenging conditions, with more accurate fire and faster enemies. A unique dogfight mode pits players against each other, culminating in one player defending a ship against their victorious opponent.
