Gameplay

Venture into the tomb of King Tut in Konami’s 1982 maze shooter, Tutankham, a cooperative experience for two players. Navigate twisting corridors filled with supernatural creatures guarding ancient treasures – gold, rings, and keys are all up for grabs. Using laser guns, players must blast their way through each chamber, collecting items while avoiding the patrolling monsters and searching for secret passageways that lead to the next level. A vital element of survival is managing time; bonus points are awarded for swift escapes, but lingering too long attracts more dangers. Flash bombs offer temporary respite from overwhelming hordes, though they are limited in number, requiring strategic use. Lanterns provide substantial point bonuses, but often lure players into precarious situations within the maze’s vertical passages. Keys unlock doors to new chambers and opportunities for greater rewards, while opening each door grants a significant score boost. Mastering monster movement patterns and utilizing safe spots is essential to surviving the depths of King Tut's tomb.
