Compete in an intense roller skating race across a scrolling track in Jaleco’s Top Roller, released in 1983. As one of two players, you navigate your skater through a challenging course filled with obstacles that require precise jumps and dodges to overcome. The game presents a unique top-down perspective as you strive to stay ahead of your rival. The objective is simple: finish first! To do so, skillfully maneuver around hazards while actively disrupting the progress of your opponent by pushing them off the track. Top Roller utilizes an 8-way joystick for control and a single button for actions like jumping, creating a straightforward but engaging gameplay experience. Featuring vibrant graphics with a palette of 160 colors displayed in a vertical format, this two-player game offers fast-paced action powered by a Zilog Z80 processor and complemented by sound from a General Instrument AY8910 chip.
