Thundercade, also known as Twin Formation, is a two-player vertical shooter released by Seta in 1987 under license from Taito. Players control aircraft maneuvering upwards through enemy formations while dodging projectiles and destroying targets. This export version of the game shares roots with the Japanese title "Tokushu Butai U.A.G." and features gameplay centered around aerial combat. The arcade cabinet includes a dip switch that allows operators to change the displayed name of the game from Thundercade to Twin Formation. It provides a cooperative experience as players work together against waves of adversaries in this fast-paced shooter. A version of Thundercade was later ported to the Nintendo NES in 1989.
