Gameplay

Navigate vibrant mazes in Tinkle Pit, a cooperative maze and collect game for up to four players released by Namco in 1993. As Pitt and Patti, players control characters who must gather items while avoiding enemies within the increasingly complex environments. A unique mechanic allows players to create lines of energy balls that can be used both defensively – as an impenetrable shield – and offensively; releasing the button recalls the balls for a powerful attack against foes. Popcorn can also be collected and thrown at enemies, bouncing around the maze until they are defeated. A nostalgic trip for Namco fans, Tinkle Pit cleverly incorporates characters and sprites from numerous classic titles like Pac-Man, Dig Dug, and Xevious, creating a playful celebration of arcade history. Successfully clearing each stage requires teamwork and strategic use of both power balls and popcorn projectiles. Achieving high scores unlocks special character cameos on the ranking screen, offering further rewards for dedicated players.
