Tiger Road is a 1987 platform and fighting scrolling game released in the United States by Romstar under license from Capcom. Players control one of two characters as they progress through various stages, battling enemies encountered along the way. Gameplay involves jumping, attacking with punches and kicks, and navigating hazards within each level. This version features a stage select option, differentiating it from its original Japanese release known as "Tora-he no Michi." The game is a scrolling platformer where players must defeat opponents to advance, although all spoken voiceovers present in the original Japanese edition were omitted for the US release. Tiger Road was initially available in arcades and later ported to several home computers and consoles including the NEC TurboGrafx-16 and included within the Capcom Classics Collection volumes for Xbox and PlayStation 2. Developed in Japan, this export version provides a unique experience compared to its predecessor while maintaining core platforming and fighting mechanics.
