NMK • 1993
Also known as: Big Bang

Take to the skies in Thunder Dragon 2, a two-player vertical scrolling shooter released by NMK in November 1993. Players pilot advanced aircraft through increasingly challenging levels filled with enemy formations and imposing bosses. Utilizing an 8-way joystick and three buttons, you’ll blast your way through waves of adversaries while collecting power-ups to enhance your weaponry. Originally known as "Big Bang - Power Shooting" in Japan, Thunder Dragon 2 builds upon the foundation laid by its predecessor, Thunder Dragon. The game's vibrant visuals are displayed on a vertical screen with a resolution of 224x384 pixels and utilize a palette of over one thousand colors, brought to life through a combination of sound chips including a Zilog Z80 and an OKI6295. Featuring contributions from a team of designers and programmers, Thunder Dragon 2 offers fast-paced cooperative gameplay for two players as they battle their way through the skies.
