Gameplay

Twin Cobra II is a fast-paced, vertically scrolling shooter released by Taito Corporation in 1995. Players control two Cobra attack helicopters, maneuvering them through increasingly challenging levels filled with enemy aircraft and fortifications. Up to four players can join the action simultaneously, coordinating their efforts to survive relentless waves of adversaries and massive boss encounters. The game builds upon its predecessor, offering a refined experience developed in Japan and distributed as an export release. The gameplay involves utilizing each Cobra's weaponry – including powerful lasers and guided missiles – to clear out enemy formations while dodging projectiles and navigating intricate level designs. The Taito F3 system hardware provides the foundation for this intense aerial combat. A version released in the United States includes a screen encouraging players to recycle game cabinets rather than discard them. Twin Cobra II is part of the Twin Cobra series, following the original 1987 title and continuing its legacy of cooperative helicopter action.
