Super Trio is a cooperative platform game released in 1994 by Gameace, designed for two players. Players choose between three animal characters – Jake the mouse, Tomi the cat, and Brudo the dog – each offering identical gameplay with purely visual distinctions. The objective involves navigating twelve scrolling stages, utilizing jumping and shooting abilities to overcome obstacles and defeat enemies before reaching the exit portal at the end of each level, where a boss awaits. Throughout their adventure, players will find various power-ups that offer temporary advantages such as increased health, invincibility, or weapon upgrades, allowing them to enhance their attacks up to four times. On-screen prompts guide players toward the stage exits, ensuring they stay on track through the challenging environments. The game’s design features a Motorola 68000 processor and Zilog Z80 sound chip for its graphics and audio. Super Trio provides a shared experience, encouraging teamwork as two players work together to progress through the levels and ultimately complete the game's twelve distinct stages.
