In Super Mouse, released by Taito in 1982, players take on the role of a nimble mouse navigating a house environment to gather scattered food items. This cooperative platform game supports two players as they jump and run across moving floors, utilizing unique tools to overcome obstacles. Enemies such as cats and cobras unexpectedly appear, adding challenge to the task of collecting sustenance. Players can strategically deploy balloon bombs and trigger falling rocks from above to eliminate threats. The house environment features interactive elements including water pools hidden under bridges that can be activated to impact surrounding enemies. Careful use of these elements is key to survival and scoring higher points. A later release rebranded the game as "Funny Mouse." Featuring a Zilog Z80 processor and AY-8910 sound chip, Super Mouse provides a simple control scheme with a four-way joystick and single button for action.
