Super Tank is a two-player shooter released in 1981 by Video Games GmbH. Players each control a tank navigating a field populated with mines and dense brush. The objective involves clearing these obstacles while simultaneously evading enemy tanks that fire projectiles. Successfully eliminating all the mines and bushes advances players to a second, more challenging level featuring a large "Super Tank" boss. This imposing foe must be defeated by landing a direct hit on its gun to progress further in the game. Super Tank utilizes a vertical screen with a resolution of 256x256 pixels and displays a palette of 32 colors. The game is controlled using an eight-way joystick and a single button. Notably, Video Games GmbH began as a bootleg manufacturer before shifting to original game development; Super Tank represents one of only two known original titles created by the company. A similar game with the same name was later released for the Sega SG-1000 in 1986.
