Super Pac-Man
Namco • 1982

Navigate vibrant mazes in Namco’s Super Pac-Man, a frantic sequel to the arcade classic. As Pac-Man, your objective is to clear each stage by collecting prizes instead of traditional pellets; some are locked behind gates requiring keys or, alternatively, can be broken through when you consume a Super Pill and transform into a larger, more powerful version of yourself. While in this "Super" form, you move at increased speed, can pass directly through walls, and even evade the pursuing ghosts. Four Power Pellets scattered throughout each maze allow Pac-Man to temporarily turn the tables on his ghostly adversaries, enabling you to chase them down for bonus points. The introduction of Super Pills adds a new layer of strategy; these transform Pac-Man into his larger form with unique abilities, and their duration can be extended by consuming regular Power Pellets. Bonus stages appear periodically, offering time-limited challenges where all prizes must be collected while in Super form. Beyond the core gameplay, Super Pac-Man delivers humorous intermissions featuring Pac-Man’s antics and encounters with the ghosts, adding a playful touch to the arcade experience. With two players able to join the chase, this arcade game provides an engaging and fast-paced challenge for both seasoned veterans of the original and newcomers alike.
