S.S. Mission
Comad • 1992

Pilot your craft through relentless waves of enemies in S.S. Mission, a two-player vertical scrolling shooter released by Comad in 1992. As players, you maneuver independently to navigate perilous environments and confront increasingly challenging opponents. Utilizing an eight-way joystick and two buttons for firing, the gameplay emphasizes quick reflexes and coordinated teamwork against a constant barrage of projectiles. The game's technical foundation rests upon a Motorola 68000 main processor and a Zilog Z80 sound processor, complemented by an OKI6295 sound chip. While sharing some design similarities with earlier titles like Thunder Dragon, S.S. Mission presents a distinct experience centered on aerial combat. The development team included graphic designers T.C Choi, W.H Seo, J.A Park, and K.Y Chang, alongside programmers J.S Na and Y.M Park and scenario writer J.V Kim. Team up with a friend to tackle the challenges of S.S Mission, facing off against robotic adversaries in a visually dynamic arcade experience.
