Gameplay

Super Sidekicks 2 – The World Championship is a two-player soccer game released by SNK in 1994 for Neo-Geo arcade systems. Originally known as Tokuten Oh 2 - Real Fight Football in Japan, this title delivers fast-paced, over-the-top athletic action with distinct character designs and exaggerated animations. Players control their chosen team using an eight-way joystick and three buttons to execute a variety of moves including shooting, passing, tackling, and shifting players for both offensive and defensive plays. The gameplay emphasizes strategic positioning and skillful execution, rather than realistic simulation. Unique abilities are available to each player that can impact the flow of the match. This installment builds upon the foundation established in its predecessor, Tokuten Oh, while introducing new characters and refinements to the core soccer experience. Continuing SNK’s series of football titles, Super Sidekicks 2 is part of a larger franchise including The Ultimate 11 and NeoGeo Cup '98. The game was later ported to Neo-Geo home consoles and CD systems in both Japan and the United States.
