Gameplay

This two-player arcade game, Sunset Riders, appeared in 1993 as an unlicensed adaptation of the Sega Mega Drive title. Players take control of cowboys riding across the American West, battling bandits and other adversaries in a horizontally scrolling shooter format. The gameplay focuses on fast-paced action with players shooting enemies while simultaneously maneuvering their horses to avoid obstacles and projectiles. The game offers cooperative play, allowing two individuals to team up and tackle the challenges together. Though based on existing software, this arcade version is a product of an unknown manufacturer, marking it as a bootleg release. Sunset Riders presents a familiar side-scrolling shooter experience with a Western theme within a shared arcade cabinet.
