Also known as: New Splash, Painted Lady, Splash

Splash! is a cooperative puzzle game for two players released in 1992 by Gaelco, developed by the Barcelona-based team OMK Software. Players manipulate falling droplets of paint across the screen, strategically combining colors to create larger shapes and clear the playfield. Success relies on careful coordination between both players as they manage their individual streams of color; missteps can quickly lead to a chaotic buildup that blocks further progress. The game's vibrant graphics were created by two graphic artists from OMK, while the music and sound effects were produced at Gaelco. Initially released under the name "Painted Lady," Splash! proved to be a popular title in arcades, showcasing a unique blend of puzzle mechanics and artistic visual design. A sequel, Glass, followed in 1993. Splash! utilizes an 8-way joystick for player control alongside two buttons per player, allowing for precise adjustments to the falling paint streams. The game's technical specifications include a Motorola 68000 main CPU and a Zilog Z80 sound CPU alongside various sound chips contributing to its audio experience.
