Gameplay

Navigate twisting mazes as Sindbad in this clever puzzle game from Sega, released in 1983. Two players can cooperate to explore the labyrinthine levels, using a four-way joystick to guide their character and uncover hidden treasures. The goal is to locate thirty question marks scattered throughout each maze; finding them reveals portions of a treasure map displayed at the top of the screen. As Sindbad collects these markers, he discovers the location of valuable items buried within the maze. Once unearthed, those treasures award bonus points based on the remaining time in the round. Players must be wary of patrolling enemies as they search for riches and attempt to maximize their scores. Originally released for the Sega SG-1000 console, Sindbad Mystery utilizes Sega’s G80 raster hardware and offers a unique blend of puzzle solving and maze navigation with its twin-player cooperative gameplay.
