The Legend of Silkroad

Step into ancient China in The Legend of Silkroad, a fighting game released by Unico in 1999. Players choose from a roster of Chinese heroes tasked with confronting an evil warlord and his forces threatening the Orient. The gameplay unfolds on a 2.5D plane, offering a sense of depth as characters battle across detailed backgrounds inspired by the Silk Road. As one of two players, you’ll utilize a standard joystick and three buttons to execute a variety of martial arts moves and special attacks against your opponent or AI-controlled enemies. The game features vibrant graphics with a palette of over 8000 colors, presented at a resolution of 380x224 pixels and running on a Motorola processor alongside Yamaha and OKI sound chips for its audio.
