Side by Side 2 (Ver 2.6 OK)

Taito’s Side by Side 2, released in 1997, puts players behind the wheel in a fast-paced driving game viewed from a chase perspective. As a lone racer, you navigate courses filled with sharp turns and obstacles while striving to maintain your lead. The game utilizes Taito's JC System hardware and offers a single-player experience focused on skillful maneuvering and precise timing. The gameplay centers around chasing down opponents and completing each course as quickly as possible. A secret course can be accessed by performing a specific action at the coin insertion point, providing an extra challenge for dedicated players. The game’s audio is powered by an Ensoniq ES5505 sound chip, contributing to the immersive racing experience. Side by Side 2 builds upon the foundation of its predecessor, Side by Side, and would later be adapted into a PlayStation title as Side by Side Special 2000.
