Gameplay

Step into the boots of a Shock Trooper in this action-packed shooter from Saurus, released in 1998 as an update to the original Shock Troopers. A terrorist organization threatens global destruction unless they are granted control of the nation of Billberk; players take on the role of specialized soldiers tasked with stopping them. Choose between five characters, each possessing unique abilities and weaponry – from a combat knife to napalm bombs and sonic explosives – as you navigate increasingly imaginative level designs while battling waves of enemies. Shock Troopers - 2nd Squad supports cooperative play for two players, utilizing an eight-way joystick and three buttons to control movement, shooting, bombing, jumping, and interacting with vehicles. The game builds upon the foundation laid by its predecessor, offering enhanced graphics and a slightly more evolved gameplay experience. Running on SNK’s Neo Geo MVS hardware, this title delivers a classic arcade shooter experience for up to two players.
