A werewolf on a quest to regain their human form is at the heart of Shocking, a cooperative maze fighter released in 1997 by Yun Sung. Players navigate single-screen levels, each presenting a new objective that must be completed to progress through the game's unfolding story and ultimately save the world. Twelve rounds comprise each stage, culminating in a challenging boss encounter. Gameplay combines exploration with action; players use an eight-way joystick to maneuver their characters while utilizing a single button for attacks. Throughout the adventure, mini-game challenges provide opportunities to earn extra lives, prolonging your journey. Stages are interspersed with these diversions, adding variety to the core maze-fighting experience. Shocking draws inspiration from other games—some graphics originate from Rayman, and the soundtrack includes recognizable loops taken from popular music tracks and sound effects of other arcade titles. Two players can team up to face the challenges together in this unique action title.
