Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams (Europe 950727)
Capcom • 1995
Also known as: Street Fighter Zero

Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams is a two-player versus fighting game released in Europe in 1995 by Capcom. Running on CPS-II hardware, this installment builds upon the foundation of earlier Street Fighter titles while introducing new characters and gameplay elements rooted in the original Japanese release, "Street Fighter Zero." Players choose from a roster of fighters like Charlie (formerly Nash), Akuma (Gouki), and M. Bison (Vega), engaging in head-to-head battles utilizing classic fighting game mechanics such as punches, kicks, throws, and special moves. The game allows for strategic gameplay through its unique “Alpha” system, which offers multiple paths through the story and expanded move sets for each character. A notable feature of this version is the inclusion of a Dramatic Battle mode, originally accompanied by a specific musical piece from the animated Street Fighter movie in Japan that was altered for Western audiences. Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams subsequently saw releases on various platforms including Sony PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and Nintendo Game Boy Color, bringing its intense fighting action to home consoles and handheld devices. Multiple revisions of the arcade board were released between June and July of 1995.
