Search Eye (English / Korean / Japanese / Italian)
Yun Sung • 1999

Search Eye is a cooperative puzzle game released in 1999 by Yun Sung, available under several regional titles. Two players control characters who must work together to navigate a series of seventy increasingly complex levels. Gameplay involves manipulating blocks and objects within the environment using an eight-way joystick and two buttons to clear paths and reach designated goals. The game’s design emphasizes teamwork as each player's actions directly influence the other’s ability to progress. Featuring music originally composed for Nihon Falcom’s "Dragon Slayer - The Legend of Heroes”, Search Eye offers a unique audio experience alongside its challenging puzzle mechanics. A direct sequel, Search Eye Plus V2.0, followed shortly after this initial release. The technical foundation of the game relies on a Motorola 68000 main CPU and a Zilog Z80 sound CPU, complemented by YM3812 and OKI6295 sound chips for audio production.
