Samurai Aces (World)
Psikyo (Banpresto license) • 1993
Also known as: Sengoku Ace

Take to the skies in Samurai Aces, a fast-paced vertical shooter released by Psikyo in 1993 under license from Banpresto. Developed in Japan and originally known as "Sengoku Ace," this cooperative game allows two players to team up against waves of enemies while piloting aircraft adorned with samurai imagery. Players navigate through scrolling levels, utilizing weaponry to destroy incoming projectiles and enemy fighters in an attempt to progress through the campaign. Samurai Aces launched in April 1993 as an export release, marking the first installment in a series that would later include Tengai - Sengoku Ace Episode II and Sengoku Cannon. The game's gameplay focuses on skillful maneuvering and coordinated attacks between players to overcome increasingly difficult challenges. A port of this arcade title was later included in the "Psikyo Shooting Collection Vol. 2" for Sony PlayStation 2 in 2004, allowing fans to experience the aerial combat at home.
