R-Type II (World)

R-Type II continues the frantic tradition of its predecessor, tasking players with defending humanity against another assault by the Bydo Empire. This side-scrolling shooter places you in a powerful spacecraft as you navigate six increasingly challenging levels, blasting through swarms of alien enemies and intricate, organic environments. Returning are the signature "Beam Weapon" and "Force Pod," offering familiar strategic options for offense and defense. Building upon the original's gameplay, R-Type II introduces three new weapon types: a search laser that curves around obstacles, a shotgun blast for devastating close-range attacks, and scatter bombs to clear ground threats. The Beam Weapon itself has been upgraded with a double-charge function, unleashing an even more potent plasma burst when fully powered.
