Gameplay

Secret agents face off against the shadowy GERDRA organization in Rolling Thunder 2, a fast-paced platform and shooter released by Namco in 1990. Players control either a male or female agent as they navigate scrolling environments, confronting armed enemies that emerge from hidden doors. These same doors also conceal valuable weapons and ammunition, adding an element of risk and reward to each encounter. Rolling Thunder 2 builds upon the foundation of its acclaimed predecessor with vibrant graphics and a significant gameplay enhancement: cooperative two-player mode. Working together, players can strategize and overcome challenges, offering a more dynamic experience than the original’s single-player focus. The game utilizes Namco System 2 hardware to deliver detailed visuals and energetic music. Controlling your agent requires precision; movement is dictated by an eight-way joystick while two buttons handle jumping and attacking. Rolling Thunder 2 offers a challenging, action-packed experience for solo players or cooperative teams battling their way through GERDRA's nefarious plots.
