Gameplay

Rail Chase 2 is a fast-paced cooperative shooter released by Sega in 1994 for two players. Players assume the roles of Flint and Mary, piloting high-speed trains through a variety of environments while battling enemy vehicles and obstacles. The gameplay involves aiming and firing at targets using light guns, requiring precise timing and coordination between players to succeed. Built on Sega’s Model 2B hardware, Rail Chase 2 builds upon the foundation laid by the original Rail Chase, offering updated graphics and enhanced action. Course design was a collaborative effort from several individuals, contributing to varied environments. The game features voice acting performed by David Leytze and Yuko Isoda, adding another layer of engagement for players as they navigate the challenging tracks. Though the title screen displays 1994, Rail Chase 2 officially launched in May of 1995, marking a sequel to the earlier arcade hit. The game’s development team included programmers Takeshi Goden and Toshikazu Goi, along with designers Kiyoshi Miyagi and Satoru Okano.
