Vs. Atari R.B.I. Baseball (set 1)
Namco • 1986

Step up to the plate in Vs. Atari R.B.I. Baseball, a competitive two-player sports game released by Namco in 1986. Players choose from ten pre-selected "Dream Teams," each composed of recognizable baseball stars, and face off against one another or a computer opponent. Success relies on both skill and strategic team management; understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each roster is key to victory. The game strives for realism by incorporating player statistics based on actual performance data. A display provides information about individual players’ abilities, allowing you to plan your moves accordingly. Using an 8-way joystick and two buttons, players control their batters and attempt to hit home runs and outmaneuver the opposition in a fast-paced baseball experience. Approximately 3945 kits of Vs. Atari R.B.I. Baseball were distributed within the United States. Later ports of the game appeared on various computer platforms under the title "R.B.I. 2 Baseball."
