Rastan is a side-scrolling platform fighter released by Taito in 1987. Two players control warriors battling through a series of stages filled with enemies and obstacles. Utilizing an eight-way joystick and two buttons for slashing and jumping, players advance through levels while avoiding hazards and defeating creatures such as bats and other foes. This export version features some differences from the original Japanese release, including altered attract mode visuals and increased difficulty in certain sections where prolonged inaction triggers additional enemy encounters. Victory screens also lack the storyline text present in the earlier Japanese edition.
