Gameplay

Up to three players control giant monsters – George the ape, Lizzie the lizard, and Ralph the wolf – in this chaotic arcade adventure inspired by B-movies. Players rampage through a series of North American cities, demolishing buildings, smashing vehicles, and generally causing mayhem as they progress through 128 days per game cycle. Health is sustained by consuming food found within damaged structures, but can be depleted by enemy fire, falls, or even unfortunate encounters with dynamite. A unique "buy back in" feature allows players to rejoin the destruction after being temporarily reverted to human form. Gameplay involves strategically navigating urban landscapes, utilizing each monster’s abilities to climb and jump while dodging National Guard troops, police vehicles, and aerial attacks. Clever players can earn bonus points by rescuing fleeing citizens, which briefly eliminates swat teams and generates a scoring multiplier. The game features a constantly repeating cycle of cities, beginning in Peoria, Illinois, and culminating in Plano, Illinois – a deliberately small town created as a tribute to the designer's birthplace. Each playthrough offers 768 distinct levels filled with random events and hazards, ensuring a fresh experience every time players unleash their monstrous fury.
