Rad Rally (World)
Sega • 1991

Rad Rally puts you behind the wheel in a fast-paced, first-person driving experience. Published by Sega in 1991 as an evolution of their earlier Rad Mobile game, players navigate challenging courses from a cockpit perspective, steering with a paddle control to avoid obstacles and stay on track. Four distinct environments—Sunset, Rain, Night, and Mountain—offer varied visual conditions and driving challenges. A functional rearview mirror provides added awareness as you race through each stage. The single-player game utilizes Sega’s System 32 hardware, offering crisp graphics for the time. While primarily a solitary pursuit, arcade operators had the option of linking cabinets together to enable head-to-head racing between two players. The US version notably includes an anti-drug message screen upon startup. Rad Rally represents a straightforward yet engaging driving game from the early 1990s, allowing players to test their reflexes and precision across a range of environments.
