Quiz Torimonochou is a two-player quiz game released by Taito in Japan during February 1990. Players face a series of questions presented entirely in Japanese; success depends on quick comprehension and accurate button presses. The game utilizes the Taito F2 system hardware, identifiable by its distinctive cabinet design and internal components. The title itself offers a unique linguistic quirk: while it translates roughly to “Quiz Arrest Notebook,” one of the key kanji characters actually refers to "suffering stomach head," adding an unexpected layer of meaning to the experience. Two players compete directly against each other, striving for the highest score by correctly answering questions and demonstrating their knowledge of Japanese subject matter. Sound effects and music were composed by Masahiko Takagi and Yasuhisa Watanabe, contributing to the game’s overall presentation. A computer port was later released for the Sharp X68000 in 1992.
