Puzz Loop 2 (Europe 010302)
Mitchell (Capcom license) • 2001

Players cooperate in Puzz Loop 2 to manipulate falling blocks and clear the playfield. Developed in Japan and released in Europe by Mitchell under license from Capcom in 2001, this two-player game utilizes a "toss" mechanic where players physically throw puzzle pieces into their respective playing areas. The gameplay is built upon the foundation of the earlier Japanese release, “Puzz Loop 2 [Green Board],” sharing core concepts and design. The CPS-II hardware provides the processing power for Puzz Loop 2's visuals and mechanics. Each player controls a side of the screen, working together to strategically position blocks that create complete lines, which then disappear from the board. Successful line clears award points and prevent the stack of pieces from reaching the top. This European release runs on what is known as "Blue Board" hardware. While sharing lineage with its Japanese counterpart, players can experience this puzzle challenge in a localized version for a two-player cooperative experience.
